Ball was “abandoned” in April after the death of his own mother, who he cared for before being transferred to hospital.
Announcing the news of Julia’s death from advanced pancreatic cancer, Ball told her followers: “Sleep dear mother.

Ball’s mother was married to TV presenter Johnny Ball. The couple divorced when Ball was two years old.
When Ball first announced she was temporarily stepping away from her radio show to care for her mother, she said: “I’m trying to work breakfast as often as I can but never Gotta go home with my mama sometimes thanks to Gabby [Roslin] to step in.”
While hosting the show on April 17, Ball dedicated a song to the paramedics who “gently” helped Julia transition into hospital care.
