A woman and two children have been taken to hospital after being hit by a police car in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said the pedestrians were killed when an officer tried to pursue a BMW which failed to stop near the junction of Upperton Road and Narborough Road at around 16:40 GMT on Monday.
A 30-year-old woman and two 10-year-old children were assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital as a precaution, the force added.
Police believe the woman suffered minor injuries.
The force said inquiries were ongoing to locate the BMW, which had left the area.
