According to the arcade’s Facebook page, they were hosting a “Noon Years Eve Celebration” on Tuesday afternoon.

After arriving at the scene, Dowling said crews discovered it wasn’t a collapsed roof but a display of Legos, 12 feet tall, from a failed New Year’s Eve balloon drop. fell on the group.

“We saw the whole balloon fall and nothing happened to us until we got out immediately after the balloon went down,” Turco told WBZ-TV.
“Big pieces of Lego were everywhere, children were crying, there were a lot of people in the office, some with ice packs on their heads and people were letting their children steal the Lego pieces. Until after the incident. “True events,” Turco continued.

After the incident, the arcade was briefly closed as a precaution but reopened shortly after.
A spokesperson for the arcade told Fox News Digital that they are working closely with authorities as the situation is being evaluated.
