If there is one actor who can be seen in a saree, it is Mahira Khan. From chiffon sarees to heavy embellishments, the superstar knows how to carry it off with grace.
In a recent post on Instagram, the “Humsafar” actor who recently turned 40 this month, shared a thread of pictures in which she can be seen wearing a saree.
Mahira wore a silver beige saree embellished with sequins which looked absolutely stunning on her. “Birthday suit – always saree,” she wrote on the photo and video sharing app.
Mahira paired the saree with a sleeveless blouse and accessorized the outfit with silver bangles on both hands and minimal earrings.
The actor kept her hair straight and left it open and wore simple silver strappy heels.
The mother of one, who tied the knot last year, recently talked about physical health, mental health, nutrition and living with purpose in a podcast where she also talked about her age.
Talking about physical health after one crosses 30, Mahira revealed that she will turn 40 in December this year.
“Of course [our bodies] slow [after 30]. I’m going to be 40 so this is a big birthday for me. I remember being 30, I remember being 21,” he said.
“I remember all these moments in my life and now I wish I had taken care of myself since my 30s. […] Because you are believing in yourself. For people like us, that’s when we’re figuring things out,” said the Sadege Tumhare actor.
Mahira said that a person should take care of himself “as soon as possible”.
