Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) announced on Thursday that the city will face a water shortage of 100 million gallons per day on January 5 due to the annual maintenance work of K-Electric (KE).
A KWSC spokesperson explained that the first phase of KE 2024-25 maintenance work at Dhabiji Pumping Station will take place on January 5 from 8 am to 8 pm. During this 12 hours, the power supply to the various feeders of the pumping station will be partially disconnected, resulting in reduced water supply.
