Valladolid, Spain: Real Valladolid parted ways with coach Paulo Pizzolano after Sunday’s 5-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid, with some supporters protesting against majority owner Ronaldo Nazario.
Valladolid are bottom of the table, four points from safety and have just two wins from their first 15 league games. “Real Valladolid and Paulo Pizzolano have parted ways,” the club said in a statement.
“Uruguayan coach will not continue at Pucella after 70 matches in three seasons.” Pizzolano, who was appointed in April 2023 and failed to prevent them from being relegated from La Liga, helped Valladolid win promotion back to the top flight last season.
