Use of technology is indispensable for modern policing: IGP

Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that the public’s trust is the biggest achievement for the police while the use of technology for modern policing is not only inevitable but also the need of the hour.

He said this while meeting an 18-member delegation of ASPs participating in the 27th Command Course under the 51st Special Training Program at CPO on Thursday. The IGP said that the Sindh government has approved the recommendations for the welfare of the police and the use of modern technology for effective policing.

Budgets have been allocated for various projects, ensuring full support for their implementation. He emphasized that the trust of the government and the people greatly strengthens the police operations. He further said that despite facing criticism, the Sindh Police is steadfast in its mission to fight crime and protect the lives and property of citizens, as evidenced by the sacrifices of many officers and personnel.
