According to a report of South China Morning PostLiu, a woman from Tianjin, China, died after undergoing laser treatment.
Her husband revealed that she was unhappy with the scars and birthmarks on her body, prompting her to undergo laser treatment at Jinmin Dermatology Hospital. The procedure cost about Rs 12 lakh. Leo’s mother said the treatment caused him significant pain and suffering due to the application of anesthesia.
A fatal outcome
On October 21, during his last treatment session, Leo began to feel unwell after being administered anesthetic cream. She became unconscious, prompting doctors to remove the cream and take her to the hospital. Despite emergency medical care, Liu remained in critical condition for 10 days before succumbing to his condition.
Initial reports suggest the cause of death was overdose, although a forensic report is still awaited. The hospital has said that they will take full responsibility if their negligence is confirmed. The incident has sparked widespread concern on social media, with many highlighting that health should always take priority over beauty.
