Ukraine says it captured two wounded North Korean soldiers in Russia.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that Ukrainian troops in Russia’s Kursk Oblast have taken two wounded North Korean soldiers as prisoners of war.

According to Zelinsky, both men are receiving “necessary medical attention” and are in the custody of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv.

The president said he was grateful to Ukrainian paratroopers and special operations forces for capturing the North Koreans.

“It was not an easy task,” he added, claiming that Russian and North Korean soldiers routinely execute wounded North Koreans to “disguise any North Korean involvement in the war against Ukraine.” Also erase the evidence”.

In a statement posted on Telegram and X, Zelenskiy said the soldiers were “talking to SBU investigators” and had instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to give journalists access to them.

“The world needs to know the truth about what’s going on,” he added.

Zielinski also posted photos of two wounded men but did not provide evidence that they were North Korean.

One photo shows a Russian military ID card issued to a 26-year-old man from Russia’s Teva region, bordering Mongolia.

Some reports say that Russia is hiding North Korean fighters by giving them fake IDs.

South Korea’s intelligence agency reported this in December. The first North Korean soldier caught supporting Russia’s war in Ukraine is believed to have been killed. After being captured alive by Ukrainian forces.

In addition, the White House said North Korean forces were suffering massive casualties.
