Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, is going to treat Taylor Swift to something special for her birthday.
In celebration of Swift’s birthday on December 13, Ed reveals his approach to choosing a meaningful gift for the global superstar.
On the December 12 episode of Baskin and Phelps podcast, Ed explains why finding the perfect gift for Swift is no easy task.
“Buying Taylor a gift is like trying to buy a gift for Jason or Travis,” Ed said, referring to his sons — Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and retired Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce. “They don’t want anything they don’t already have.”
Ed emphasized that an overpriced gift isn’t the answer, adding, “The amount of money is meaningless. You’re not going to crush Taylor Swift with a gift that’s, you know, $100,000.” ”
Instead, she believes the key is to focus on the sentimental value of the gift.
“You have to look beyond that. You have to dig down and come up with something special,” he continued.
“You get something that tugs at her heartstrings that you spend 10 bucks on. Then she’ll go absolutely bonkers. You have to find something that triggers emotions.”
Swift’s 34th year has been monumental, marked by the success of her career-spanning Era Tour.
The 152-show world tour reportedly grossed more than $2 billion in ticket sales, as reported. The New York Times.
The record-breaking run culminated with a final show at Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium on December 8, where fans sang “Happy Birthday” in anticipation of the star’s big day.
