Travis Kelce is coming out of 2024 with a number of accomplishments under his belt.
The 35-year-old was nominated for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes players who “demonstrate a steadfast commitment to making a positive impact beyond the game.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is one of 32 nominees for the award, announced Thursday.
The award winner will be announced on February 6 during the NFL Honors ceremony.
The Chief’s official Instagram page shared a special video commemorating the special nomination featuring Kelce talking about his work for the Kansas City community through his foundation, 87, and Running.
The NFL star credits his parents for his “beautiful childhood,” saying, “Growing up, I had a beautiful childhood and it has to do with my parents,” in the video.

“And I was able to relate to all these kids growing up. I don’t care what you look like, where you come from; I’m going to be friendly and I’m going to help.”
Kelis added that his foundation is a way for the kids to stay connected to their roots, as he “really wanted to make sure the city felt as much love for me as I do on Sunday.”

It comes just days after Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving with his pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift and both of the pair’s families.
