Jason agrees with his brother, saying there’s no place for fist fights or anything like that, but he doesn’t want the bill to take away from the best parts of college football rivalries.
“It’s all just currency, and it’s just petty, and I don’t like it. I don’t think it’s cool. I think it’s stupid. Some of the best parts about the rivalry are when the dumbest things happen. Like, Jason said, it was over the top, and it was full of fighting and tear gas.

In a social media post, Williams said he was “proud” to introduce the bill, saying “behavior that incites violent altercations and puts our law enforcement officers at risk, It has no place on the football field.”
