Mansehra: Traders of Oghi on Tuesday demanded Hazara Electric Supply Company (HESCO) to end the day-long power cut on the pretext of maintenance of transmission lines and trimming of tree branches.

Ejaz Ahmed, a leader of the traders, while addressing a press conference in Oghi, said that we are facing day-long power outages on alternate days, which is affecting our business activities badly. Consumers were already burdened by routine load-shedding and the additional day-long outage has completely disrupted their livelihood.

“Hazara Electric Supply Company suspends power every other day for a whole day, citing technical faults in transmission lines and grid stations. We will not tolerate such excuses anymore.” He added that traders were already facing the effects of inflation, and continued power outages were pushing their businesses to the brink of collapse.
