Tourist bus falls off bridge in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, 18 passengers injured

An accident occurred in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh when a tourist bus fell off a bridge. On this occasion, 18 people were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Just as a loud noise came from under the bridge and the screaming started. The police have reached the spot and are investigating. It is said that it is going in from Nagpur.

The accident happened at 5 am on the Abna river bridge at Gram Thatta Joshi near Khandwa. The condition of the injured persons in the accident is reported from outside. The accident caused minor injuries to the passengers as the bus slowed down due to fog and loss of balance on the bend. The place of travel is recorded as a black spot in police records. There are such accidents here and there but still comfort is being taken.

As soon as it was reported that the bus had fallen down from the bridge, several police personnel and an ambulance rushed to the spot along with Manoj Dove, the in-charge of the Ramnagar outpost. With the help of the villagers, the injured were brought to the district hospital. By flipping the bus conductor side, passengers can exit the driver’s gate by breaking the rear gate glass. Dr. Anirudh Kaushal, civil surgeon of the district hospital said that the injured in the bus accident were brought to the district hospital with minor injuries. A couple of people suffered head injuries, all are safe and undergoing treatment.
