The UAE celebrated the 53rd Eid al-Ittihad with significant achievements, vision for the future

Dubai: Grand celebrations were held to mark the 53rd National Day of the United Arab Emirates, which was renamed as Eid Al-Thaihad in the Emirates. Dubai Police organized dynamic cultural programs to engage the labor community, including a tug-of-war competition, which was won by Pakistani workers.

The festivities also featured self-defense and martial arts demonstrations, reflecting the multicultural ethos of the UAE.

Speaking to The News during the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations in Dubai, police officials expressed gratitude towards the hardworking labor force, calling them “partners in progress and development”.

A Dubai Police official said in Urdu, “We are honored to have such dedicated residents who contribute so much to the development of the emirate. We always request our hardworking residents to contribute to zero crime and accidents in Dubai. Help us in our mission. Every nationality supports us in spreading the message of peace and harmony.

Pakistani blue-collar workers expressed their pride and joy during the celebrations, highlighting how Dubai has provided them opportunities to earn an honest living. “Our families in Pakistan are safe and happy, thanks to the remittances sent by our compatriots,” he said, thanking Dubai for its supportive environment.

Pakistan Social Center in Sharjah celebrated National Day with enthusiasm. The evening was filled with Emirati songs, traditional children’s dances and a cake-cutting ceremony that brought together the Pakistani community and the Emirati hosts.

Saima Naqvi, representative of the Cultural Wing, emphasized the close relationship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, describing the two nations as “two hearts, one soul”. General Secretary Faraz Siddiqui hailed the transformational achievements of the UAE’s five decades of leadership and described them as evidence of visionary governance.

Pakistanis living in Dubai participated in a special blood donation campaign on the occasion of UAE National Day. More than 100 people donated blood, a sign of their appreciation and solidarity with the nation that embraced them.

Umar Farooq, the representative of Pakistanis in Dubai, highlighted that the blood donation is a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, highlighting the strong relationship between the Pakistani community and the UAE.
