KARACHI: The Steering Committee of the Sindh Education Department has finalized the schedule for the upcoming examinations, in which the Matric (Grade 9 and 10) will begin from March 15, 2025. Intermediate Grade 11 and 12 exams will start from 15 April 2025.
Matric exam results are expected by July 15 and intermediate results will be declared by August 15.
The committee also decided that the new academic year of schools will begin from April 1, 2025, while the academic session of colleges will begin from August 1, 2025.
The schedule of winter and summer vacations will remain as per previous time table. Summer vacations are scheduled from 1st June to 31st July while winter vacations will be from 22nd December to 31st December.
Additionally, for the year 2025, public holidays in Pakistan include Ascension Day (January 28), Kashmir Day (February 5), Shab-e-Barat (February 14), Ali Day (March 22). Pakistan Day (March 23), Shab Qadr (March 28), Eid-ul-Fitr (March 31-April), Labor Day (May 1), Eid-ul-Adha (June 6-7), Ashura (July 5-6), Independence Day (14 August), Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Day (August 9), Allama Iqbal Day (November 9), and Quaid-e-Azam Day (December 25).
