James Gunn announced this recently. Batman Part 2 has been delayed for another year.
Taking it to Instagram threads, KCEO DC Studios shared the news with his fans about the reason behind the continuous delay in the release of the film.
Reflecting on the film, which was initially slated for an October 2025 release, he wrote, “The only reason for the delay is not having a complete script (those of you who follow me here may have only know).
Batman Part 2 It will star Robert Pattinson, who plays Batman, Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell and Paul Dano.
Furthermore, Gunn revealed that the director, Matt Reeves, is currently involved with the script to write the excellent screenplay.
“Matt is committed to making the best film he possibly can, and no one can accurately predict how long a script will take to write,” he added.
Before concluding, Gunn shared, “Once the script is ready, big movies have about two years of pre-production, shooting and post-production.”
Batman Part 2 has changed its release date from October 2, 2026 to October 1, 2027.
