ISLAMABAD: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will make his first official visit to Pakistan at the end of this month.
He is the first foreign head of state to visit Pakistan this year. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif invited him for a visit. Sources told The News here on Thursday that the schedule of the visit is being worked out through diplomatic channels.
Sources said President Prabowo Subianto, who was elected last October, will stay in Pakistan for three days. Earlier, President Joko Widodo visited Pakistan in January 2018 during the last term of the PMLN government. Sources said that a high-powered delegation will accompany President Perabovo.
He will hold talks with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and meet President Asif Ali Zardari who will host a dinner in his honour. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will also meet the President of Indonesia. The sources added that many bilateral agreements will be signed during the visit.
