ISLAMABAD: Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training inaugurated National Curriculum Summit 2024 at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in collaboration with National Curriculum Council (NCC).

The summit started with a warm welcome by Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education and Vocational Training. He acknowledged the support of the National Curriculum Council and thanked all the participants for their active participation in the two-day event.
In his address, Wani highlighted the proposals made by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal regarding the overall review of Pakistan’s education system. “We have successfully reviewed and updated the existing scheme of study in just six months and the suggestions received from the summit will be incorporated as part of curriculum reforms.” Wani said. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the curriculum remains relevant and dynamic to the needs of a rapidly changing world.
The keynote address was delivered by Ahsan Iqbal, who outlined the government’s vision for education reforms. He shared his insights on four key initiatives launched during the PMLN tenure from 2013 to 2018, which faced significant challenges after his tenure but are now back on track. These initiatives are part of the government’s broader goal of transforming Pakistan’s education system and bringing it up to global standards.
