A terrifying moment occurred during the Missouri-Lindon Woodmans College basketball game On Wednesday night, a Tigers player needed to be stretchered off the court.
Caleb Girl, The Tigers’ star guardsuffered a head and neck injury after fighting for a rebound during the team’s 81-61 win over Lindenwood.
Grill suffered a freak head injury while going for that rebound, snapping his neck back while he was in the air. He landed hard on the court and grabbed the back of her head.

The girl was transported to a local hospital after being dragged out of court. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd, who cheered as he was escorted off the court.
Columbia Daily Tribune A team spokesman told them Grill was responsive, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Details about his injury were not released.

After the game, Mizzou head coach Dennis Gates gave an update on the grill.
“We are awaiting the results of the CT scan,” Gates said, according to the Daily Tribune. “Anytime you have a head or neck injury, you want to be. [cautious] And be careful with it. And that was all he did, making sure she was okay. When I was there messing with him he was responsive, talking the whole time. He even rolled out with his thumb. So, it was a good sign to see in that regard.”
Grill was the Tigers’ leading scorer in the game, averaging 15.5 points while shooting over 55% from three-point territory.
His stats dipped, though, after scoring just two points and picking up a steal in seven minutes before missing the rest of the game.
The Tigers moved to 6-1 on the season, but are hoping a key member of their starting five will be back on the court soon.
