The last date to participate in the residential plot draw is December 25.

Lahore: A meeting regarding LDA revenue generation was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of DG LDA Tahir Farooq.

In the meeting, Finance Director Kashif Imran gave a briefing on achieving the revenue target. Director Auction said that LDA has crossed Rs 2 billion mark in auction for the first time. Director Auction said that the last date to participate in the lottery for residential plots in Jubilee Town, Tajpura and Johar Town is December 25. Citizens can pay in 12 equal installments over three years. The plots included in the draw are fully developed at attractive locations.

Chief Town Planner One Asad-ul-Zaman and Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali gave a briefing about their respective areas. The DG reviewed the performance of all the Directors of Town Planning individually. Tahir Farooq directed that action should be taken against commercial fee defaulters under zero tolerance policy. No commercial activity should be allowed on eight commercial properties without commercialization. The DG asked all the directors to submit a detailed report on illegal commercial activities in their respective areas within the next three days. He directed that all directors of town planning should ensure digital mapping of illegal commercial properties. All directors of town planning should ensure the achievement of their respective objectives.

Meanwhile, LDA teams took action against encroachments in Johar Town, G One Market, Khokhar Chowk and Canal Bank Road. LDA’s enforcement squad removed encroachments from the side of G One Market, parking area, temporary and permanent encroachments from various properties.
