LAHORE: A hardened criminal was killed in an encounter with the police in Kacha Machka area of Rahim Yar Khan.
The slain criminal has been identified as Mir Hasan alias Bega Chandia, who belonged to the Andhar gang and was involved in the murder of sub-inspector Ramzan and 12 other policemen.
Chandia was also involved in heinous crimes including firing on the police, kidnapping for ransom, murder and robbery.
