The FDA officially allowed Zyn nicotine pouches to be sold after a health review.

The US Food and Drug Administration officially approved Zyn nicotine pouches for sale after conducting an “extensive scientific review” of their safety.

In one release On Thursday, the agency said it had found that popular pouches have a lower risk of cancer and other serious health conditions than cigarettes, as well as other tobacco products.

“Data show that these nicotine pouch products benefit adults who use cigarettes and/or smokeless tobacco products and switch to those products altogether,” Matthew Ferrelli, P.D.
