The Chinese firm wants to set up a mobile phone assembling plant.

LAHORE: Industry and Commerce Minister Chaudhry Shafi Hussain met Chinese mobile company CEO Luob Hong in the committee room of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT).

Director General PBIT Dr. Sohail Ahmed was also present on this occasion. The federal minister resolved the issue of NOC pending for a year for the construction of industrial estate of China mobile company in Faisalabad.

CEO Luob Hong said that the company has a mobile assembling unit in Punjab, but the company wants to set up a mobile manufacturing plant in Industrial Estate Faisalabad. The company is not getting the NOC to start the construction of the plant for the last one year. Chaudhry Shafi Hussain directed Chairman FIDMK to resolve the issue immediately and directed that no obstacle will be allowed to stop the promotion of investment in the province. He directed that the relevant institutions should provide facilities to the investors instead of hindering the investment. Chaudhry Shafi Hussain said that there is determination to bring new investments to speed up the process of industrialization in the province. He asserted that he would not tolerate any hindrance in fulfilling the Punjab government’s commitment to bring new investment in the province.
