PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday directed the authorities to implement five percent jobs and two percent education quota for minorities.
According to an official handout, he issued these instructions during a meeting with Dr. Shoaib Siddal, Chairman of the One-Man Commission on Minority Rights. Secretary Awqaf and Religious Affairs and other officials also participated in the meeting.
The Chief Minister announced several initiatives for the welfare of minorities, including special training for minority children in the service training institutes of the provincial government to prepare for competitive exams, provision of solar systems for places of worship, and Rs 100 million for minority students. The Chief Minister emphasized that protecting the rights of minorities and ensuring their welfare is among the priorities of the provincial government. He reiterated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s commitment to provide equal opportunities to minorities in all sectors while recognizing their role in provincial development.
