Three Texas men are wanted for allegedly stealing $25,000 from an Oklahoma man while he was praying at a shrine. Oklahoma City.
Gabriel Lara, Nicholas Barrientos and Ruben Barrientos are accused of breaking the victim’s car window and taking his money. According to KOCO. The victim stopped to pray at the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine while he was on his way to buy a car.
The three suspects started by stealing a license plate from a car in the Santa Fe South High School parking lot on Plaza Mayor Blvd. in South Oklahoma City. The trio then put Oklahoma plates on their vehicle, police reported, the outlet reported.
The men then went to a nearby Bank of America to look for potential victims.

Their victim drove to the bank and withdrew $25,000 to buy a car before fleeing.
The suspects tailgated the victim and ran a red light to keep him close, as the victim did not know he was being followed.
The victim arrived at the church parking lot and got out of his car to go inside and pray. While he was inside the Catholic synagogue, the suspects broke his car window and stole his money.
gave Arrest warrant The three men were later stopped in Wichita, Kansas, where an officer reported smelling marijuana and said the suspects had conflicting stories, KOCO reported. But no drugs were found with them, and they were let go.
The officer also asked the suspects why they had so much money, but the driver explained it was from a vehicle he had recently sold, according to the outlet.
All three accused Texas Identity and addresses, and none of them were from Oklahoma, according to the arrest warrant.

The three men are wanted on charges of theft and robbery. All three have previous charges in Waco, Texas.
Authorities are still searching for the suspects.
