Peshawar: Police have said on Monday that two policemen were martyred in an attack by terrorists in Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Police added that the policemen were on their way to the local police station in Kherukhel Pakka area on a motorcycle when they were ambushed by the terrorists.
In response, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred personnel and appreciated their courage and dedication.
He said that we salute the sacrifices of martyred personnel who have set an example of bravery.
Naqvi conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the slain heroes and assured them of the unwavering support of the nation. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure the safety of law enforcement personnel while further highlighting the historic services of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Force in the fight against terrorism.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also condemned the attack, calling it a “very sad” incident. He expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs, saying: “We stand with the bereaved families in this hour of grief.”
The governor emphasized the need to continue the war against terrorism to pay tribute to the sacrifices of these brave officers.
