Swifties, who arrived at Vancouver’s venue, BC Place Stadium, on December 6, noted some unusual details that led to speculation that something big was afoot.
While there are plenty of cameras set up during concerts, fans witnessed an odd number of cameras and production gear scattered throughout the area.
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their excitement.
A fan pointed to a pocket, a cinema camera mounted on a crane. It also had warning signs for drones. “It’s so serious,” the fan noted.
Another fan shared, “They turned a VIP tent into the filming area at tonight’s show and hung up a Chief’s sign and signed jersey!”
Meanwhile, another Swiftie confirmed that the equipment looked familiar to the equipment used in Inglewood, California, where Swift filmed the original Eras tour.
The rest of the venue was filled with boom microphones scattered in various areas of the audience.
A fan posted two TikTok videos showing a camera track moving across the stage to the center diamond point.
“The Era Tour movie 2 is going to be brilliant,” said the fan.
Swift’s Era Tour, after a year of 150 shows on five continents, comes to a close on Sunday, December 8.
