Taylor Swift has left Swifties wanting more as she wraps up her final show of the 21-month-long Era Tour.
The 34-year-old songstress marked the end with her final show in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8.
The show followed the usual set list and did not include any special announcements contrary to fan theories.
gave The anti-hero The hitmaker’s fans have been anticipating an announcement since she debuted a new Reputation bodysuit at the Miami show on Oct. 18.
Including Easter eggs through fashion statements, and her countdown during the final shows in Canada, fans were assured that Swift would end the tour on an exciting note.
Following the end of the record-breaking tour, fans took to social media to express mixed reactions.
A comment on Instagram said the Eras tour ended with crying emojis “with no rap TV”.
Another wrote: “What do you think of the ending? At the end of Europa League (London) she brought Florence, Ed and Jack but now she didn’t even give a speech – the show is exactly the same. And I wonder why.
“Idk why but the ending seemed a bit jarring,” said a third.
Echoing the sentiment, other fans wrote, “The way no one got up to leave BC, they were so sure she was going to come back and announce and then the credits came on LOL me” and “I Can’t believe he didn’t announce anything????
However, one fan took a different view, writing, “For people to say it was disgusting and they didn’t get any announcements, after giving us everything he had for this tour, Just the lyrics and the voices begging you to do more.” In quoting Swift’s lyrics Nothing sweet.
But the Swifties remain flexible in their hopes as one hoped, “Do we think she’ll debut or release a rap as her birthday gift to us?”
The 14-time Grammy winner clearly has some other plans for the big announcement.
