Bestway Sandwiches said taquitos sold at Aldi stores nationwide are being recalled because they may contain metal pieces. Notes Posted by the US Department of Agriculture on Saturday.

Shipped to Aldi stores nationwide, the issue came to light after a customer reported finding a piece of metal in the product to Bestway Foods in Valencia, California. Another person reported dental injuries from the product to the USDA’s Food and Inspection Service.

Dated July 3, 2024, and September 25, 2024, the recall involves approximately 25,000 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taco products. The affected products are 20-ounce carton packages of Casa Mamita Corn Tortillas with chicken, cheese, diced tomatoes and green peppers with best-by dates of July 3, 2025, and September 25, 2025.

The agency is concerned that some of the recalled products may be in people’s freezers. People who bought the recalled food items should throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
