Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday announced their playing XI for the final Test of the two-match series against Pakistan, which is scheduled to begin here at Newlands on Friday.
The home side made three changes to their line-up as Wayne Mulder, Kesho Maharaj and the uncapped Koena Mafaka replaced Tony De Zorzi, Corbin Bosch and Dan Pietersen.
Both Bosh and Pietersen were instrumental in helping the home side to a narrow two-wicket series victory, which secured their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
Pietersen took five wickets in the first innings and followed it up with a scalp in the second.
On the other hand, Bosh played an unbeaten innings of 81 runs in the first innings after taking four wickets.
Meanwhile, left-handed opener Zorzi had a forgetful display with the bat in the said match as he was dismissed for two runs in both the innings.
South African batting hero Aidan Markram will open the innings with Ryan Rickleton returning to follow Milder.
Captain Temba Bauma will form the hosts’ middle order alongside Tristan Stubbs, David Bedingham and wicketkeeper-batsman Kyle Vereen.
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will lead the bowling attack, which includes Marco Johnson, Mahara and Mafaka.
It is worth mentioning here that South Africa have a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
