Six kidnapped laborers in Nushki rescued after seven days

Quetta: According to Levies sources, 6 laborers kidnapped from Nushki have been recovered after seven days. On the night of November 28, unknown armed men abducted the laborers from Zarin Jungle area of ​​Nushki. In response, Levies and security forces launched an operation to ensure their recovery.

Levies officials said that the abducted laborers were successfully rescued from Zarin Jungle late at night. The rescued persons include Zahoor Ahmed, Bismillah and Gaje from Quetta. Nasir Baloch from Mustang; and Huruddin and Sherullah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The rescued laborers have been handed over to the Nushki administration, further investigation is underway.

It should be noted that on last Friday night, more than 10 armed men attacked the levees check post and Gandari Dam construction site in Riko Zarin forest area on Kharan Nushki highway and kidnapped 6 workers.

According to security sources, the armed assailants blocked the highway and seized three rifles and other equipment from the Levies personnel at the check post. They then attacked the construction camp and set it on fire after abducting more than six people. The attackers also took away a pickup truck from the camp. The abductees are said to belong to Quetta and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After the incident, security forces surrounded the area and started searching for the accused. A security alert has been issued in the district, though the news has not been confirmed by official sources.
