Lahore (Commerce Reporter) Industry and Commerce Minister Chaudhry Shafi Hussain has said that 25 thousand NOCs have been issued for various business activities from six Business Facilitation Centers (BFCs) established in Punjab.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce was addressing a function organized on the completion of one year of the establishment of Business Facilitation Centers under the Department of Commerce. The Minister said that the establishment of Business Facilitation Centers has saved people from going to offices to get NOC. Five federal and 28 provincial departments are providing facilities under one roof in Business Facilitation Centres. The minister said that foreign investors are getting NOC for business activities in 10 days and domestic investors in 15 days.
Shafi added that the scope of business facilitation centers is being expanded, industrial infrastructure is being improved in industrial estates and industrial centers are being converted to solar energy.
Chaudhry Shafi Hussain said that an agreement has been signed with the Chinese company ICO for the production of solar panels in Punjab. The process of upgrading the labs and courses of Toyota institutes is in progress. Under the Chief Minister Skill Development Program, children are being given free IT short courses. Chaudhry Shafii said that follow-up is very important to achieve the desired results.

A cooperation agreement was also signed between Business Facilitation Centers and Maryam Ki Dastak during the ceremony. CEO Punjab Investment Board Jalal Hasan and Additional Director General Punjab Information Technology Board Khurram Mushtaq signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, NOCs for business activities will now be available online from home. During the ceremony, Chairman Board of Investment Muntaha Ashraf presented the annual magazine of BFC to the minister.
Chaudhry Shafi Hussain congratulated the management on completing one year of BFC. Provincial Secretary for Industry and Commerce Dr. Ehsan Bhatta shed light on the establishment, performance and other issues of business facilitation centers.
