Roads in Derbyshire’s Peak District have been closed by police over “bad parking”.
Both Winnats Pass and Rushup Edge near Castleton were closed by police on Sunday afternoon.
The force warned that dangerously parked vehicles would be impounded while owners of badly parked vehicles would face fines.
Those planning to visit the Winnats Pass area have been told by police to find an alternative place to go “and, when you do, please park properly”.
Hope Valley police teams said 21 drivers who parked on the Clearway through Wints Pass on Saturday will be prosecuted.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “Parking like this is not only an inconvenience, it blocks the path of ambulances and fire engines who respond to potentially life and death emergencies.” The spokesman said.
“So if you plan to travel over Winnats Pass today you will need to find an alternative viewing spot and, when you do, please park properly.
“Don’t just dump your car if you can’t find a place you wanted to go before, your selfish actions could be the difference between someone getting life-saving care or not.”
