The bitter and alarming fact is that Pakistan’s economy has been completely dependent on foreign loans and aid for decades. Unfortunately, instead of reducing the debt burden, the ruling elite is doing everything possible to increase our debt.
To make the country self-sufficient, the federal and provincial governments need to take the following drastic measures: reduce their lavish spending, ban the import of luxury goods, promote exports, foreign trips at taxpayers’ expense. Discourage, crack down. On corruption, reform pay structures, bureaucratic incentives and concessions, expand micro-financing for small businesses and promote investment in skilled people and the economy.
