A search for a missing skier in the Cairngorms has found a body.
Sam Burns, 40, was in contact with friends while skiing alone on Friday but did not return to his van parked in a mountain car park in Aviemore.
He planned to ski the Wye Gully or Diagonal Gully from the Cairngorm Plateau.
Police began searching for him when he was reported missing and confirmed the discovery of a body on Saturday. Officers said formal identification was yet to be made but Mr Burns’ family had been informed.
There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator.
