Pakistan’s cricket stars, including Saeem Ayub and Salman Ali Agha, have made impressive strides in the latest ICC rankings in both white-ball and red-ball formats thanks to their exceptional performances in recent matches.
In the ICC ODI Better Rankings, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan climbed three places, moving from 24th to 21st with 612 rating points.
Rising star Saeem Ayub, who was adjudged Man of the Series after Pakistan’s 3-0 win over South Africa, jumped a remarkable 57 points to the 23rd position with 603 rating points.
His impressive performances, which included two centuries in the series, put him firmly among the top players.
Vice-captain Salman Ali Agha has also shown significant improvement, rising 28 ranks to 80th position with 468 rating points.
Meanwhile Abdullah Shafiq, who endured a difficult streak with three consecutive ducks, slipped 21 places to 98th.
Pakistan opening batsmen Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq saw a slight decline, each falling one place to 17th and 19th respectively.
Babar Azam is at number one in the ODI rankings, while India’s Rohit Sharma and Shibman Gul are at number two and three.
In the ODI bowling rankings, Haris Rauf has moved from 15th to 16th while Mohammad Wasim Jr is at 61st.
Naseem Shah has jumped 10 ranks from 61st to 51st while Muhammad Nawaz has fallen 6 ranks to 73rd.
Rashid Khan remains at the top position in the ODI bowler rankings, Shaheen Afridi has moved to the third position, India’s Kuldeep Yadav is at the second position.
In the T20 ranking, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are at the sixth and eighth positions respectively, while Saeem Ayub has moved up one place to the 57th position.
Despite being out of action, Fakhar Zaman and Iftikhar Ahmed have moved up a notch to 68th and 78th respectively.
Australia’s Travis Head tops the T20I batsmen rankings, followed by England’s Phil Salt and India’s Tilak Verma.
Shaheen Afridi has dropped two places in the T20I bowler rankings and is now at the 23rd position with 599 rating points. Haris Rauf also slipped to 28th position.
Young fast bowler Abbas Afridi slipped one place to 43rd while Shadab Khan improved slightly to 69th by two places.
In Test Rankings Babar Azam moved up two places in the Test batsman rankings, reaching 15th place with 670 rating points.
Salman Ali Agha and Muhammad Rizwan are ranked 18th and 19th respectively.
Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq have both seen a decline, falling to the 44th and 50th positions respectively.
Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who is currently out of international action, has seen an increase in his ranking and has reached the 72nd position.
In the Test bowling rankings, Nouman Ali has moved up one place to the 9th position, while Shaheen Afridi is at the 18th position.
Hasan Ali and Sajid Khan remain at the 38th and 40th positions respectively. Naseem Shah is 41st while Abrar Ahmed and Khurram Shahzad are at 58th and 60th.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to top the Test bowler rankings, followed by South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood at third.
