Eating at a fancy restaurant is certainly a pleasant experience for many people. While some go for the delicious food, others enjoy the service, presentation and overall vibe. However, there is always a section of people who can’t help but appreciate the rising prices of basic dishes in high-end restaurants. Discusses Recently, a woman visited one of Virat Kohli’s restaurants and shared her experience on X (formerly Twitter). He posted a photo of the kiln (corn on the small). This snap featured a few slices of corn topped with a dollop of dipping sauce and garnished with scallions.

In her caption, she highlighted the shocking price of the dish. “Paid ₹525 for this on One8 Commune today,” he said, accompanied by a crying emoji.

Well, the post didn’t sit well with people online. Several X users reacted to the woman’s post. Check out some of the reactions below:

“You didn’t pay for it. You paid for the vibes,” one person wrote.

Another said, “The money is ambience, service and cleanliness. That comfortable chair, good looking rich people around, good crockery. Get the same thing in a bag for Rs 30. The choice is yours.”

Echoing similar sentiments, one user said, “Well, usually, they charge for the ambiance. The food is basic anyway. But the ambiance makes it better.”

Some pointed out “You knew this before you ordered, so stop whining.”

Meanwhile, a section on social media supported the lady and termed the dish as “expensive”.
