Lahore: In the latest ICC rankings, Pakistan’s white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan has been demoted two places in T20.
After a poor performance in the T20I series against Australia, Rizwan is now ranked 8th with 704 points. Former captain Babar Azam, however, remains at the 5th position with 727 points. No other Pakistan batsman is currently in the top 50 T20I rankings.
Australia’s Travis Head leads the batting rankings with 855 points, followed by England’s Phil Salt (828) and India’s Tilak Verma (806). Haris Rauf is Pakistan’s highest ranked bowler in T20 at number 20 with 603 points. Shaheen Afridi has dropped two ranks to 26th with 573 points while Imad Wasim has fallen three ranks to 38th with 535 points.
England’s Adil Rashid tops the T20I bowling rankings with 701 points, behind Sri Lanka’s Venindu Hasaringa (696) and Australia’s Adam Zampa (693). In ODIs, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman dropped two places to 16th with 642 points and Imamul Haq to 18th with 633 points. Mohammad Rizwan is at the 24th position with 604 points.
Despite these setbacks, Babar Azam continues to dominate the ODI batting rankings with 800 points, ahead of India’s Rohit Sharma (765) and Shibman Gill (763). Among the ODI bowlers, Haris Rauf is on the 15th position with 605 points. Shaheen Afridi is second with 675 points.
