While people generally enjoy pakoras, samosas and savory snacks, Delhiites have a unique favorite dish – Ram Ladoo. This delicious dish is perfect for a cozy winter season. Making Ram Ladoo at home is quick and easy, requiring only a few ingredients. You can prepare it in just 10 minutes and serve it with radish salad and sweet and tangy chutney. Here is the recipe to make this tasty treat in no time:

Ingredients

For Ram Ladoo

  • Mung dal: 1 cup
  • Gram dal: 1/4 cup
  • Urad dal: 1 tbsp
  • Salt: As per taste
  • Black salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Mango powder: 1 teaspoon

For the radish sauce

  • 2 Radishes
  • A handful of coriander
  • 1 cup radish leaves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 to 3 green chilies.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of mango powder
  • Hang

For garnish

  • 1 teaspoon of sev
  • Grated radish
  • Chopped green chillies

Method of preparation

  • Start by preparing the sauce. Clean the radishes and remove their leaves. Wash the leaves well and mix them with green coriander, green chillies, ginger, black salt, salt, mango powder, lemon juice and water. Make a smooth sauce.
  • Prepare the salad by peeling and grating the radish. Mix it well with finely chopped radish leaves and green chillies in a bowl and make a salad.
  • For Ram Ladoo, wash the dal well and soak it in water for 4-5 hours. After soaking, take out the dal and blend it into a fine paste.
  • Transfer the paste to a bowl and beat it well for at least 10 minutes to make it light.
  • Add salt to taste and a spoonful of prepared radish sauce.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat and carefully drop small portions of the dal batter into the hot oil with the help of a spoon. Fry the laddoos until they turn golden brown and crispy.
