New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India Governor Shakti Kanta Das has been admitted to Chennai’s Apollo Hospital, media reports said. He is now being monitored while there is no immediate official word from the hospital.
According to the RBI, Das “suffered acidosis” and was admitted to Apollo Hospital in the state capital.
“Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das suffered from acidosis and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation,” an RBI spokesperson said.
“He is recovering now and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is no cause for concern,” the spokesperson added, assuring that his condition is stable.
