Rachel Platten has opened up about her struggles with the “darkest time” in her life.
In an interview with peoplethe fight song The singer candidly shared her treatment journey with anxiety.
“I remember being so scared that my old pain was going to work or I wasn’t going to make it through the night because of anxiety or something. It was a very, very dark time,” she began.
At the time, she discussed her upcoming performance for the Event 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Hudson, and Idina Menzel on November 28, 2024.
What’s more, the 43-year-old singer added, “A few years ago, I couldn’t even imagine being out in public, let alone on a float in front of millions of people on national TV.”
“But look at me now. I was able to put him through all that pain and instead, I was able to shine and shine in front of millions of people on Thanksgiving. It’s a miracle that I made it through this and I’m here and I’m so strong.”
“The same emotional waves carry me as they always did, but I have all these tools like therapy and journaling and meditation in my tool chest as I know how to work with them and They have to let it go,” he told the publication.
“It’s not necessarily that I’ve changed, but I’ve learned to accept and love all of me, and that’s what I’m most grateful for these days,” he signed off. First added.
