Some packages of Pearl Milling Company’s original pancake and waffle mix The Quaker Oats Company issued a recall this week. Cans may contain milk, which is not listed in the ingredients panel.
The recalled mix is a 32-ounce (two-pound) red cardboard box that could have been purchased on or after November 18, 2024.
The recalled mix has a “best before” date of September 13, 2025. The date is written as SEP 13 25 P and is located on the top of the box. The recalled product has a UPC of “30000 65040,” stamped on the bottom of the box.
For people with milk allergies or severe sensitivities, Use of this product may trigger a severe, life-threatening reaction.. Although reactions can sometimes be mild, the only way to treat a milk allergy is to avoid all products containing milk. Quaker was made aware of the ingredient by one of the company’s retail partners. The recalled products were distributed to retailers in 11 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah, and Wisconsin. No other products or mixes have been recalled from Pearl Milling Company or Quaker Oats Company.
Pearl Milling Company The line was previously known as Aunt Jemima until rebranding in 2021. The Pearl Milling Company was the business that created the original pancake mix in the late 1800s.
