LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Thursday introduced virtual blood bank facility on Punjab Emergency Helpline 15 on trial basis.
Safe City Emergency Virtual Blood Bank has been established under the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. Citizens can easily access Safe City Emergency Blood Bank by calling 15 and pressing 4.
Upon receiving a call, a Safe City officer will connect the caller with a registered donor from the blood bank’s database via a conference call. Blood donation agencies, NGOs, and blood banks of colleges and universities are linked to the Safe City Blood Bank database. All citizens are requested to actively participate in this noble cause.
