Prince William’s heartfelt tribute to his wife Princess Kate on her 43rd birthday has received worldwide acclaim.
The Prince of Wales delighted royal fans with his public announcement to celebrate the Princess of Wales’ birthday on Wednesday.
Royal reporter Bronte Cowie noted that such a public gesture is “unprecedented” for a non-milestone anniversary, especially for the typically “low-key” royals. He also suggested it reflected William’s “relief” and happiness at Kate’s recent improvement in health.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, Brontë shared: “I was really surprised, but in a pleasant way, by the tweet because, as you said, it’s quite remarkable.
“This being the 43rd, the royals are usually a bit more low-key with their personal messages, particularly William.”
In his heartfelt message, William dedicated his post to “the most incredible wife and mother,” following her year of cancer treatment.
Brontë added to Matt Wilkinson, Royal editor of The Sun: “To me when I read it, “it reads to me like a man feeling relieved and hopeful and happy about the future.
Matt pointed out that William’s emotional message felt like he was “rewriting” normal royal rules.
The royal editor shared: “He seems to be rewriting his place in the royal family, the way he communicates, because just a few weeks ago, where he described his most difficult year, now He is actually writing this, this tweet.
