Prince William, who is being trained to become king, has stunned fans with his latest move.
The Prince of Wales has taken a big step amid reports that King Charles will not abdicate for his eldest son.
Kate Middleton’s husband took part in live-fire drills during his historic visit to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at Salisbury Plain on Tuesday to witness their transition from ceremonial duties back to military operations.
Kensington Palace has released stunning images of the future king, along with a statement shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts.
The palace wrote: “After two remarkable years leading historic ceremonial events the @WelshGuards have returned to their key operational roles.
“Their specialist platoons were undergoing training today, performing live-fire exercises and drone demonstrations that enhance their capabilities.”
Colonel Prince William of the Welsh Guards looked radiant in military uniform as he showed grace and confidence during the exercise. They were briefed on the current activities of the regiment as they observed personnel conducting specialist training exercises.
The new post comes amid reports that King Charles has no plans to step down from William as the 76-year-old has wanted to be king for decades.
