Prince William is facing a major dilemma as he considers a reconciliation with his brother Prince Harry, but fears what it will do to his wife Kate Middleton.
Earlier, reports claimed that the Princess of Wales was playing the role of mediator to end the years-long rift between William and Harry.
The heir to the throne has apparently softened his stance but, according to a royal expert, there is a tough condition for the reunion.
“There is still a chance of reconciliation, but the rift between Harry and William is much deeper than many realise,” said expert Edward Corm James. OK! magazine.
The expert noted that Harry’s criticism of the royal family in his memoir, Spareand Netflix documents “left some serious wounds,” which is why “trust is a big issue.”
Additionally, William finds himself “too concerned with his future role as king to risk his reputation by rushing into a reconciliation” but his biggest concern is Kate, who recently I have completed cancer treatment.
“We also have to consider Kate, who is caught in the middle,” Coram James said of the mother-of-three. “She’s juggling her royal responsibilities, family life and personal well-being, all while under intense media scrutiny and Harry’s revelations only add to the pressure, and it can’t be easy on her.”
So, Prince William is in a “tough position,” given how “protective” he is of his family.
“It’s likely he’s torn between trying to mend his relationship with Harry and protecting Kate from further stress,” the expert explained. “If Harry truly wants to rebuild bridges, he will have to acknowledge the emotional impact his actions have had on the entire family.”
