Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shown by their actions that they now plan to avoid conflict with the royal family.
During 2024, the Sussexes barely avoided participating in sit-in interviews and making controversial statements against key royal figures.
Royal expert Gareth Russell said GB praised the California-based couple’s strategy of avoiding joint exposure and focusing on their passion projects.
“Anything that doesn’t involve interviews like they used to do in the past is a good move in terms of more isolated incidents,” he said.
“Anything that keeps them out of contention, or keeps them from repeating what they’ve been doing for the past two years, is a smart move,” the royal observer added.
It has been said that this new strategy could be Harry and Meghan’s olive branch towards the royal family.
“It allows them both to focus on what they’re interested in,” Gareth said.
