The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have produced their latest material on the iconic sport of polo, which is played by only a handful of people and one royal expert believes the series will not do as well as the couple had hoped.
Royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun: “Polo is a very nice game. It’s a game for very rich people.
“The average person cannot afford a polo mallet or stick that leaves a horse or horsebox.
He continues: “I don’t think it’s going to attract many new players.”
Mr Dampier continued: “I spent several days watching the royals play polo and I have to say it was very boring.
“It’s one of those sports where the people involved are enjoying it.
“But as a spectator sport it’s not very exciting. It’s mainly about the social scene.
“People swilling champagne, dressed very smartly and hanging out with each other off the field,” the expert says, won’t go down well with the audience.
