Prince Harry has publicly dismissed speculation surrounding his marriage to Meghan Markle, addressing the persistent rumours, during a recent interview with The New York Times.
Addressing the claims, the Duke of Sussex added a touch of humor but also hinted at personal challenges, according to a royal observer.
During a conversation with columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Harry poked fun at the constant rumors surrounding his personal life. “Apparently we’ve bought or moved houses 10, 12 times. We’ve also gotten divorced apparently 10, 12 times. So it’s just like that, huh?” He laughed off the speculation.
He also touched on the fact that he and Meghan have recently been spotted attending work events separately, sparking more gossip.
Although Harry approached the subject in a light-hearted way, royal author Hugo Vickers believes his comments reflect a deeper emotional struggle.
Speaking to The Sun, Vickers noted, “[Harry] Royal author Hugo Vickers told The Sun that all the pundits must have been very disappointed, and he felt sorry for them that none of this actually happened.
“What else can he say? He must be fed up with all the speculation that’s been going on his whole life, since he was little, so I sympathize with him.”
The royal writer added that Meghan and Harry working separately is likely not indicative of marital problems, and is instead part of a larger strategy to advance their careers, in which they both pursue their own careers. Can play according to personal strengths.
He added, “They are always playing to their special talents. They always have to reinvent themselves. They always have to try and keep their focus in the public eye. ”
The royal writer suggested that Meghan and Harry’s separate work endeavors are not a sign of marital problems but part of a wider strategy for their future careers, allowing them to focus on their individual strengths.
